We left the newsroom

We brought the instincts

Contente is an editor-led PR and communications agency in Singapore that helps entrepreneurs, small business owners and subject-matter experts build authority through editorial strategy, earned media and AI discoverability.

Contente PR & Communications was founded on a simple observation: founders, thought leaders and experts with genuinely important stories had no idea how to get them in front of the media that matters.

We work with them to identify their objectives, positioning, narrative and the stories that will resonate with the right publications.

Meet our team

Contente was founded by Karishma Tulsidas, former Editor-in-Chief of Tatler Singapore and Robb Report Singapore, and Kiran Kaur, a PR strategist who has built and led campaigns for luxury, hospitality and cultural brands. Karishma spent more than 10 years in newsrooms deciding what got commissioned and what did not. Kiran spent years inside agencies understanding how to earn that coverage. Together, they bring both insider media expertise and agency-level execution to every client.

WHO we HELP

There are three ways to work with us, each designed for a different stage.

ONE

Visibility

For entrepreneurs, experts and thought leaders building long-term authority through consistent media coverage, even when there is no big news moment.

TWO

Visibility+

Builds on that with an AI audit and owned content around every placement, so your expertise shows up when AI systems and search engines are asked who the experts are in your field.

THREE

Campaigns

For launches and news moments: a concentrated burst of media activity built around a specific event, opening or milestone.

The model was designed to make quality PR accessible to small business owners, entrepreneurs and founders who have the expertise but not the agency budget.

What we believe

1. Media is not step one. It is step ten. It is an awareness and visibility tool, not a conversion tool. For it to work, the foundation has to be there: a clear story, a defined area of expertise, something worth pitching. We cannot manufacture that. But when it is there, we know exactly how to find the angle that makes an editor say yes.

2. Because we think like editors, we stress-test every story first. If an angle will not survive real editorial scrutiny, we will not pitch it. That protects your budget and your credibility.

3. Genuine expertise deserves genuine media access, not just the brands that can afford a large agency retainer.

How we can help you

Every engagement starts with an in-depth session about you: your background, your expertise, your objectives, what you have observed in your industry that others have not. It is closer to a journalist interview than a client briefing. We need to understand your story the way an editor would before we can pitch it like one.

Contente is a pay-per-placement PR agency. Across both Visibility and Visibility+, a monthly subscription fee covers strategy, research and pitching. Placement fees are only charged when coverage is confirmed.

Karishma Tulsidas

FOUNDER & PARTNER

I spent more than fifteen years in media, the last as Editor-in-Chief of both Tatler Singapore and Robb Report Singapore. In that time I covered fashion, watches, jewellery, luxury, hospitality, travel, business, culture and people. I sat in the rooms where commissioning decisions are made, and I decided what ran and what did not.

That editorial instinct, knowing what makes a pitch land in two lines and what gets deleted without being read, is the bedrock of Contente. I left not because I had fallen out of love with media, but to make that knowledge available to the people who need it most.

The name says it all: a play on content, the French word for happy, and the journey I went through to find both.

Kiran Kaur

PARTNER

Years inside traditional agencies taught me the craft, and exposed its worst habit: pitching for the sake of pitching. Recycled narratives, stories forced into arbitrary boxes to fill an editorial calendar. It was not doing the brands any justice.

Having led communications across luxury spirits (Moët Hennessy, Diageo, Campari), hospitality (1-Group, Ebb & Flow Group), and cultural institutions (One Kampong Gelam), I developed what takes time to build: strong media relationships, deep industry knowledge, and a precise sense of which stories find traction and which publications shape opinion.

I joined Karishma because Contente does it differently. We work selectively, with founders and thought leaders who have something genuine to say. And we make sure that story lands exactly where it should.

An introduction to our strategic framework, for free

Before we pitch anyone to any publication, we work through a structured editorial framework: what do you want coverage to achieve, why would an editor care, and what should you become known for? We have turned that framework into a guide you can work through yourself. It includes worksheets for each step, so you can apply it to your own story.
